Waiting for data!
Terms & Conditions
Hi there! Before we get into the slightly more serious bits, the short version is this: CopyPaste.me is a small, free tool made with love to help you move passwords, texts and files between your own devices. Please be kind, be sensible, and don't use it to do anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to read about in the newspaper.
The pinky promise
By using this service I promise not to use CopyPaste.me to send anything illegal, nefarious, harmful, or otherwise shady. No malware, no stolen data, no harassment, no spam, and nothing that would hurt another person or break the law.
Any liability resulting from the (illegal or improper) use of this service is mine and mine alone. The kind folks who build and maintain CopyPaste.me simply pass my encrypted data along — they can't read it, don't store it, and are not responsible for what I choose to send.
What this tool is (and isn't)
CopyPaste.me is provided “as is”, free of charge, with the best of intentions but no guarantees. It's a helpful bridge between two devices, not a vault, a backup service, or a place to store anything important. Always keep your own copy of things that matter.
Because your data is end-to-end encrypted and never stored on the server, once a transfer disappears, it's truly gone. That's a feature, not a bug. We can't recover it for you, and honestly, we wouldn't be able to even if we wanted to.
Play nice with the servers
Please don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer for evil, or otherwise abuse the service or the people who run it. There are real humans and a modest server bill behind this project. Treat them the way you'd like to be treated.
No promises, no warranties
We do our very best to keep CopyPaste.me secure, private and available, but we can't promise it will be perfect or online forever. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is offered without any warranty, and the maintainers can't be held liable for any loss or damage that comes from using (or not being able to use) it.
These terms may grow up a little
As the project evolves, these terms might be tidied up or updated now and then. By continuing to use the service after a change, you're agreeing to the friendly new version too.
